AI Alliance Comment in Response to Japan Fair Trade Commission Discussion Paper on Generative AI and Competition

In October 2024, Japanese Free Trade Commission (JFTC) released a paper on “Generative AI and Competition” and invited stakeholders to provide information and comments. The paper discussed the full technical stack for generative AI deployments (Infrastructure, Model and Application Layers) and various business aspects covering Antimonopoly Act and Competition policy issues with specific questions on each topic.
